We are happy to announce 6th National Sterilization Disinfection Congress which will be held between 01-05 April in Antalya Kremlin Palace with the Honorable President of Prof. Dr. Recep Akdağ, Health Minister. We still deeply feel the grief of loosing our three DAS volunteer friends who had passes away in 2008. Therefore, 6. DAS congress is organized in memories of Mustafa Aydin Cevik, MD, Prof. Semsettin Ustacelebi, MD and Prof. Alev Dramali, PhD.

After our first Sterilization and Disinfection Symposium in 1999 at Samsun, our studies has gained acceleration with establishment of Association of Disinfection, Antisepsis and Sterilization in 2004  followed by two big congresses in Samsun, 2005 and in Antalya, 2007. 5. National DAS Congress had 1500 participants in 2007, Antalya. (www.das.org.tr/2007) Like the employees in the health sector, many firms in the sector were also interested in the Congress greatly and provided with supports for the attendants along with the 36 firms opening stands in the event.

All feedbacks are positive obtained for the Congress so far, and our Association has conducted Free DAS School in 2008 with such motivation and support in 2008 (www.das.org.tr/okul ). 185 people were provided with the certificates by the cooperation of School and the Ministry of Health. In addition, at the end of 2007 and within 2008, training seminars were conducted to provide education to 1500 people in Van, Trabzon, Kayseri and Adana.

The website at www.das.org.tr/2009 contains any and all developments related to the 6th National Sterilization Disinfection Congress, and all matters about congress will be conducted online basis through this website.

In the 6th National Sterilization Disinfection Congress, the distinguished scientists from Turkey and around world will provide the latest developments in the field through conferences, panels, and satellite symposiums, and they will attend scientific discussions.

Today our main focus in this congress will be the problems that we face in our daily practice. The sector representatives, DAS representatives, and state officials shall analyze the issues and the proposed remedies.

We invite you to a dynamic, cheerful and educational congress included satisfying scientific program and colored by various social program in Antalya.
